Yule Word Search
Yule began as a midwinter feast in the Norse and Germanic north, and the Old Norse word jol survives in Scandinavian languages as the everyday name for Christmas. The old customs ran to fire and food: a log burning on the hearth, evergreens cut and brought inside, mead and spiced drink passed around. English kept the word mostly in poetry, carols and the term yuletide.
