Election Day Word Search
Election Day in the United States lands on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, a date Congress fixed in 1845 to suit farm work and horse travel. Votes were once cast out loud or with coloured party tickets, so anyone standing nearby knew exactly how you had chosen. The private ballot came later and is still known as the Australian ballot.
