Arbor Day Word Search
Arbor Day started in Nebraska in 1872 after journalist J. Sterling Morton proposed a day given over to planting, and roughly a million trees went into the prairie ground on that first observance. The national date now falls on the last Friday in April, though many states pick a week that matches local planting weather. Arbor comes from the Latin word for tree.
